Second team meeting in Lithuania

Hi once again,

It was really nice to meet danish part of the team in the second biggest city in Lithuania called Kaunas on March 12-14. All the team was living and working in Pažaislis Camaldolese Monastery:
After our first meeting we made lots of decisions about all preparation works we have to do till our departure to Pennsylvania. During second weekend we had to finalize all our preparation works. And at first to practice our presentation, to make some small corrections:
To share very important things that we will use during our GSE tour which we had made since our second meeting weekend: business cards, brochures, name signs and Rotary International pins for jackets. Also we were discussing about must do points: preliminary program for GSE travel route, tickets, USA visa, each other souvenirs and other serious things.
On Saturday we had lunch with GSE Programme Coordinator in LT Simonas Petrulis, thanks for lots of his practical and very useful advices concerning our trip to Pennsylvania:
Also we have visited our tailor to make detailed measurements for Danes uniforms:
Lithuanians uniforms are almost finished :):
To know the place that we were living better we had a small cognitive tour with guide around Pažaislis Monastery:
And visited Kaunas center with it's noisy arts and crafts event - annually held Kaziukas Fair (most popular souvenir is colorful, handmade palm bouquets called verbos that are popular for Easter) :
Lithuania is famous of it's beer and food called Cepelinai so after all day works we were tasting traditional Lithuanian cuisine (the girl in the middle of the photo is a waitress wearing Traditional Lithuanian folk clothes :):
I am trying to promote healthy lifestyle so for breakfast I served my favorite fresh juice with special recipe: beetroot with grapefruit. I am really happy that all of the team members tried the juice I've made :)
Only few days we were met but we did really a lot of final tasks and had a great time together. Now we can proudly say that after this weekend we are ready to represent our countries, district 1460 and Rotary International in the best way it is possible.
Looking forward to meet all the team together soon on our visit to Pennsylvania on April 10 :)

På Gensyn! See you soon! Iki greito!

P.S. All the team says big thanks for Dalia, her mother and grandmother that they made for us super tasty traditional Lithuanian dish called Virtinukai. And thanks for my mom and her baked oatmeal biscuits (as I heard all the team liked it) :):
